Both of these functions need you to have skills and knowledge of the animals and their habitat in order to be successfully managed. So we’re pleased to be able to offer a wide variety of courses at Plumpton that give you practical hands-on experience in addition to all the knowledge that you need to succeed. You’ll gain invaluable practical skills as you work in our dedicated woodland and countryside habitat.
We’ve got the perfect location for you here at Plumpton, in fact there are over 800 hectares of land on our estate. You’ll be able to put all of your skills into practice and develop your understanding of estate management.
As you build your skills, you’ll be able to manage our six drives for the on-site commercial shoot.
You’ll learn how to measure the benefits on our estate, ensuring our habitats support game and other species that live there.
We’ve got a dedicated workshop and classrooms where you’ll be able to discover our superb incubators and hatchery equipment.
During your time at Plumpton, you’ll also build your skills in working with gun dogs; entering shows and inter college clay days.
