This is a uniquely structured programme to meet the needs of Forest School Leaders and covers all the components of Paediatric & Early Years First Aid in addition to Outdoor First Aid. It is delivered within a Forest/ Woodland environment where all the risks of working with young people in delivering Forest School can be considered. These environments are often viewed to be remote and there is a strong focus on emergency planning and the possibility of delays in emergency services response times.


This programme of learning, delivered over a minimum of 2 days meets the requirements of OFSTED under DfES guidance (April 2004) complying with the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

training additionally includes dealing with injuries sustained in the outdoors,from cuts and grazes to broken limbs, head and back injuries and hypothermia. As well as planning and preparation for possible delays in emergency service attendance times, evacuation planning for casualties and additional problems for the first aider when working in the outdoors. 

Re-training is required within 3 years of issue date.
