Effective first line management requires very particular skills and plenty of confidence. 

The award in Leadership and Management is ideal for aspiring or new first line managers as well as existing managers with no formal management training.

The Award combines distance and class room based learning. You will attend 3 one day sessions over 3 weeks at main site. It explores core competencies of a management position and you will cover leading and Motivating a Team, Solving Problems and making decisions. 

You will consider techniques for motivation and communication, developing team objectives and understanding of vision, mission and strategy. Problem solving analysis, creative thinking techniques, data analysis, decision making and planning techniques will also be studied.

You will complete 2 short answer question papers and final submissions deadline is two weeks post last delivery session. 

Entry Requirements:

You are required to be in a first line management position or due to move in to a management position

You must have a good level of spoken and written English
