City & Guilds NPTC Level 2
This is a one day integrated training and assessment course which will cover maintenance and safe use of hedge cutters.
- Machine controls and safety features
- Pre-start checks
- Safe operation
- Hedge types
- Steel toe capped boots
- Tough long sleeved non-snag work clothing i.e. overalls
- Gloves with protection to the back of the hand i.e. rigger type
- Poly carbinet visor, safety glasses / goggles behind a mesh and ear defenders.
The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 states “It is an offence to intentionally or recklessly take, damage, destroy or interfere with a nest of any wild bird whilst it is in use or being built.” Therefor we do not run this course between March and August as this is the main nesting season.
