This course is aimed at employees who have taken on more of a specialised or supervisory role in jobs such as Zoo Keeper, Animal Keeper, Dog Warden and Animal Management Technician.
The Apprenticeship is an excellent way to develop your skills while working in the industry.

- Occupational Qualification - Diploma in Work-Based Animal Care level 3
- Functional skills in English and maths
- Employment rights and responsibilities
- Personal learning and thinking skills

Three starting points – September, January and May
Every Thursday for 24 months
Non-levy paying employers will share the cost of training and assessing their apprentices with government - this is called ‘co-investment’.
From May 2017, you will pay 10% towards to the cost of apprenticeship training and government will pay the rest (90%), up to the funding band maximum.
