Plumpton College is set in an idyllic location at the foot of the South Downs.

We offer facilities for Meetings, Conferences, Seminars, Training Course, Staff Away Days and corporate Social Events.

 

We have a range of rooms and outside space available to cater for a variety of events.

Rooms are bright and some look directly onto the South Downs. All our rooms have an area that is ideal for reception or registration purposes.

The Vintners’ Room

The Vintners’ Room is based in our new Wine Centre. This unique building with its “wave” roof is designed to mirror the contour of the South Downs.

The Vintners’ room is a contemporary light and airy room looking directly onto the Downs to one side and into the bottling room to the other.

The Sports Hall

The Sports Hall has the flexibility to be transformed into a venue for a range for events from large training sessions, exhibitions to Christmas parties.

  • Theatre Style: 350
  • Cabaret: 200 on tables of 10

There is an area at the end of the hall where refreshments can be served

General Information

Location

Plumpton College is situated at the foot of picturesque South Downs, six miles from Lewes, and nine miles from Brighton, Major transport routes are within easy reach, and London is only an hour away.

Service

The Conferencing team comprises of a Co-ordinator who organises and arranges events. A conferencing assistant with the help of a catering assistant makes sure the day runs smoothly. We also have a number of casual staff who are always on hand for larger events.

Accessibility

All our rooms are fully accessible with lifts; there are also disabled toilets available in all buildings.

Audio Visual Equipment

All rooms are fully equipped for presentations with projectors, screens, flip charts and if required we can supply a laptop at no extra charge.

Parking

We have free parking within a couple of minutes walk from all venues.

Room hire prices

Our prices start from £250 per day for a room with further reductions for rural organisations and associates of the College.

Catering

The majority of our catering is prepared in house by our designated hospitality chef. We always try and use local produce, meat; sausages, bacon and milk all come directly from the estate farm.

Sports Facilities

We have a number of sporting activities that can be arranged including Clay Pigeon Shooting, a session on the Mechanical Horse, Climbing Wall, Wildlife Walk and Talk, Wine Tour and Tasting. Other team building activities are available please contact us for more details.
