This course has been specifically designed for students wishing to enter the wine trade or start their own wine-related business. It focuses on marketing, the wine trade and business management and includes modules corresponding to the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma, therefore allowing students to gain the WSET Diploma as an additional qualification.
The proximity of London, one of the key market-places for wine in the world, provides a good opportunity for making valuable contacts and keeping up to date with new developments.
Single modules from this course can be studied separately allowing students to work towards the full Foundation Degree in a part-time
mode, as continuous professional development for persons already
in the industry to develop their skills. Career opportunities exist in
many fields including those of:
- Wine buying, distribution & selling
- Importing
- Journalism
- Tourism
Students may also progress on to the BA (Hons) Business
Administration degree awarded by the University of Brighton.
