This one day a week course (for one year) gives students the
opportunity to understand and learn the basic skills to become a
Florist. This course covers a range of skills and techniques, looking
extensively at the two main areas of Hand-tied designs and
Decorative table arrangements. This course is suitable for complete
beginners or those with some prior knowledge. Students will be
invited to an interview, prior to the course commencing.

- Decorative table arrangements
- The principles and elements of design
- Gift Wrapping techniques and types of packaging
- Conditioning/care of flowers and plants
- Use of floristry tools and equipment
- Craft Design
- Basic Wiring Techniques
You will need to create a well presented portfolio of written and
photographic and sketched work.
Sundries and flowers are not included in this course.
