This 3 term, part-time course is designed for the beginner. It introduces basic restraint & handling techniques, as well as how to use a wide variety of equipment to bath and dry all types of dogs ready for clipping and grooming. Basic clipping, stripping and scissoring techniques will be covered. The lessons are mainly practical based, giving the student a realistic
experience in customer care, cash handling, cleaning and Health and Safety as well as grooming.

 
This course consists of six modules and will be assessed by way of assignments and practical assessment work. Successful completion of the course is necessary to attain the
Certificate. Applicants will be asked to attend an interview prior to commencement of the course. Candidates for this course will be expected to provide their own dog grooming kit which will cost approximately £400.00.
